Main responsibilities
- Business Development: Grow the data center facility business in Ireland, managing two existing accounts and developing new accounts directly and through Channel Partners.
- Account Strategy: Understand and execute the Account Strategy, developing and implementing the Business Plan, Strategy, and tactics for business development.
- Relationship Building: Establish strong relationships with key decision-makers, evaluators, and influencers within Tier 1 M&E contractors and relevant Design, QS, and PM consultants in the target market.
- Commercial Accounts: Collaborate with senior management to identify potential Commercial Large Accounts (CLAs) and create a priority target list and action plan.
- Ecosystem Mapping: Develop a clear ecosystem map and value chain for each allocated direct sales account and specified CLAs in the channel business.
- Customer Engagement: Work with Solution and Product managers on customer engagement, including analysis of RFPs, presentations, quotations, and responding to tender documents.
- Customer Needs: Understand customer business needs and challenges, presenting value propositions and working with the data center solution energy team to provide optimal solutions.
- Stakeholder Management: Build relationships with key stakeholders within each account and their supply chain.
- Internal Reporting: Assist with internal reporting on allocated accounts and channels, providing information on account strategy, project progress, pipeline construction, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Internal Relationships: Develop key internal relationships with the service team, solution team, and regional and HQ supports to leverage resources.
- Target Achievement: Work with the team to achieve business targets, personal development goals, and other assigned targets.
- Issue Resolution: Take lead responsibility for driving through issues and aligning the company to achieve targets, serving as the internal champion for customers.
- Product Familiarity: Build familiarity with the DCF portfolio through internal training to identify opportunities and weaknesses and effectively promote solutions.
- Event Representation: Represent the company and accompany customers to relevant events and tradeshows as required.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering or equivalent.
- Sales Skills: Ability to develop sales opportunities and a strong sales sense.
- Industry Experience: Understanding and experience in the Mission Critical & Data Center Industry, including power, cooling, DCIM, fire extinguishing systems, cabinets, and containment systems. Familiarity with mainstream vendors and their products and solutions.
- Initiative: Ability to work independently and develop opportunities on one’s own initiative.
- Tender Experience: Experience in responding to large-scale tenders and bidding processes.
- Communication Skills: Good communication skills, teamwork spirit, and strong sense of responsibility.
- Work Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in the Data Centre Industry, with at least 3 years in a leading vendor, DC developer, or hyperscaler.
- Market Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of the DC and Critical Power Market and ecosystem in Ireland, with the ability to quickly understand competitors, potential partners, and routes to project success.
