A leading organization dedicated to nature restoration is seeking a passionate and dedicated Account Manager to support the growth of its client portfolio and strengthen key client relationships. This company develops large-scale ecosystem restoration projects aligned with rewilding principles, financed through high-quality carbon and nature credit sales.
With a strong project pipeline at various stages of development—from feasibility studies and land contracting to credit sales—the organization collaborates with experienced local partners to implement nature restoration on the ground.
Role Overview
The Account Manager will be responsible for developing and managing key client relationships with buyers of carbon and nature credits. This position involves a mix of client identification and sourcing, account management, and strategic development to align credit supply with corporate demand.
The role requires close collaboration with internal teams, including business development, carbon credit development, impact monitoring, and project implementation, to ensure client satisfaction and project success. The Account Manager will report to the Managing Director and work closely with commercial and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Expansion
- Conduct market analysis and track corporate sustainability commitments related to carbon and nature credits
- Identify and develop new corporate client opportunities
- Contribute to proposals, presentations, and contract negotiations
- Support applications for tenders and procurement of carbon and nature credits
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients and credit platforms
- Act as the primary point of contact for client updates, reporting, and inquiries
- Ensure high levels of customer service throughout project lifecycles
- Oversee and manage credit deliveries, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
Reporting & Data Management
- Align client reporting requirements with the company’s impact monitoring framework
- Support the development of internal dashboards and data management systems to meet client needs
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, contracts, and agreements
Skills & Experience
- Passion for nature restoration and climate action: Commitment to ecosystem restoration and sustainable solutions
- Experience with RFPs and tenders
- Relevant experience: 3-5 years of experience in account management, business development, or a commercial role
- Client-focused mindset: Proven ability to manage accounts and build long-term relationships
- Strong communication skills: Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
- Organizational skills: Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Environmental knowledge: Familiarity with ecological restoration, carbon markets, or sustainability is a plus
- Solution-oriented: Ability to address client concerns efficiently and effectively
- Tech proficiency: Experience with CRM systems, project management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite
Requirements
- Location: Based in the Netherlands or UK (preferably near London), with travel flexibility across Europe
- Work authorization: Permit to work in the UK or EU required
