Carbon Footprint Senior Analyst
Key Responsibilities
- Carbon Modelling and Project Support
Perform carbon modelling for sustainable sourcing projects across feasibility, implementation, and post-completion phases, ensuring adherence to applicable frameworks. - Carbon Analysis and Agricultural Roadmap Monitoring
Conduct comprehensive carbon analyses and provide monitoring support for agricultural roadmaps, emphasizing agroforestry, regenerative practices, and soil health improvements. - Compliance and Industry Standards
Monitor and apply the latest voluntary market standards in the AFOLU (Agriculture, Forestry, and Other Land Use) sector, such as GHG Protocol, Verra, Gold Standard, and Social Carbon. Align projects with global sustainability frameworks, including SBTI FLAG and SBTN, and actively participate in working groups for agricultural operations across various standards. - Client and Partner Engagement
Lead technical discussions with clients on scope 3 emissions and impact allocation methodologies. Maintain and strengthen relationships with carbon partners.

Technical Expertise
- Carbon Footprint Analysis: Strong experience with Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and GHG Protocol, including scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions.
- Framework Integration: Proficient in implementing SBTI FLAG, SBTN, and other international frameworks to develop strategies for emissions reduction and achieving net zero.
- Voluntary Market Standards: In-depth knowledge of standards like Verra, Gold Standard, GHG Protocol, and Social Carbon, with a focus on the AFOLU sector.
- Traceability and Value Chains: Understanding of traceability systems and value chain dynamics for agricultural commodities (food, cosmetics, textiles, etc.).
- Modelling Software: Skilled in tools for calculating emissions factors.
- Soil and Agricultural Science: Expertise in carbon cycles and soil carbon dynamics.
Statistical and Modelling Skills
- Proficient in data analysis and modelling, with a strong commitment to learning new methodologies and adapting to emerging carbon management standards.
Additional Skills
- Proficiency in English (C1 level or higher); additional languages (French, Spanish, Portuguese) are an asset or demonstrate a strong willingness to learn.

Background and Qualifications

- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in LCA, scope 3 emissions analysis, and sustainable sourcing.
Additional Details
- Location: Paris, France, or within a reasonable train distance of HQs for regular in-person interactions.
- Work Environment: Significant remote work is possible, complemented by regular visits to HQs.
- Travel Requirements: Field visits and interaction with partner teams.
