Position Overview
The Sales Manager / Senior Sales Manager for Eastern Europe will be responsible for driving sales, expanding market presence, and fostering business growth in the region. This role involves managing sales channels and building strong partnerships with distributors, installers, and key industry stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the solar energy sector, particularly in solar inverters and residential PV systems, along with a solid understanding of at least one Eastern European market and established industry connections.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy: Execute sales initiatives across multiple Eastern European countries under the guidance of the Business Director, developing and implementing strategic plans to meet revenue targets and grow market share.
- Market Development: Identify new business opportunities in the residential solar and energy storage sectors, formulating and executing strategies to enhance the company’s regional presence.
- Channel Management: Establish and optimize distribution networks, negotiating and managing relationships with distributors, installers, and other key partners.
- Stakeholder Relations: Develop and maintain strong partnerships with industry stakeholders, representing the company at trade shows, conferences, and other industry events.
- Financial Oversight: Prepare and manage sales budgets, monitoring performance to ensure financial goals are met and adjusting strategies as needed.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to local regulations and company policies while providing regular sales reports and market insights to senior management.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience: At least two years of experience in sales within the solar energy sector, particularly in string inverters, optimizers, microinverters, or energy storage solutions for the residential market.
- Industry Expertise: Strong knowledge of the residential PV and Energy Storage landscape in Eastern Europe.
- Sales Track Record: Demonstrated success in driving sales growth and establishing key relationships with major distributors and installers.
- Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and strategic planning abilities.
- Communication & Negotiation: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Language Skills: Fluency in at least one Eastern European language and professional proficiency in English required; additional language skills (e.g., Chinese) are a plus.
