Job Overview
Our client is seeking a Sales and Marketing Manager to lead an initiative for high-quality carbon credits and manage carbon project finance in Japan. The initiative is a business development platform designed to incubate project investment opportunities and enhance carbon market literacy among Japanese corporations.
Main Responsibilities
- Strategy Development: Develop content and business development strategies that deliver value to members and expand the initiative network.
- Event Management: Plan and host networking events.
- Reporting: Create and edit monthly reports.
- Webinars: Plan and execute webinars, inviting industry-leading partners.
- Presentation Preparation: Prepare appointment materials and presentations.
- Membership Contracts: Develop and close membership contracts.
- CRM and Data Analytics: Develop a CRM system and data analytics to support KPI setting and marketing decisions.
- Team Management: Manage a junior team of interns and associates.
- Pipeline Management: Manage, develop, and grow a strong pipeline of active investment opportunities for carbon projects.
- Collaboration: Work closely with senior leadership to supplement contract development, structure investments, and close negotiations.
Requirements
- 10+ years of work experience in international business development and B2B sales.
- 5+ years of work experience in carbon credit and sustainability-related project developments.
- Ideally experienced in the development of carbon projects.
- Comfortable with agile and lean project management methodologies and working styles.
- Native in Japanese, proficient in English.
