Environmental Commodities Manager

Our client is an international trading house specializing in delivering innovative, sustainable solutions in areas such as climate change, energy, sustainability, trading, and innovation. They’re active in the environmental commodities trading markets, including carbon offsets, ETS, and EACs.

With offices across five countries and two continents, their interdisciplinary team collaborates with public and private entities, international organizations, and non-profit groups.

Key responsibilities

• Strategic Planning: Develop the 2025–2028 Business Plan for Germany, aligned with shareholder expectations, targeting initial revenues of €500k and tripling or quadrupling by 2028.
• Product Development: Conduct feasibility studies and pilot innovative product offerings in electricity GOs (e.g., full offtakes and fixed volumes) and emerging environmental markets like bio-tickets and biomethane GOs.
• Cross-Selling Initiatives: Collaborate with a team of three sales traders in the DACH region to enhance cross-sales of EACs, carbon credits, and other environmental commodities.
• Market Engagement: Represent the company at industry events, deliver presentations, and provide actionable market insights to the company.
• Team Leadership: Recruit and manage a team of junior sales traders to execute the Business Plan effectively.

Reporting Line

• The Environmental Commodities Manager will be based in Madrid or telework from Germany.
• Reports to the GO/EAC Head of Desk.
