Head of Forestry Projects
Our client is a forestry management company in Spain leader in Nature Based Solutions within the country.
They are looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as the Project Area Manager, reporting directly to the Technical Management. This role involves overseeing the forestry and environmental consulting services of the company.
Responsibilities
- Drafting and supervising reforestation projects.
- Managing forestry and environmental projects.
- Coordinating inventories and management plans.
- Overseeing project registration and report preparation.
- Reporting directly to company management.
Required experience
- Degree in Forestry / Forestry Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience in forest restoration.
- Proficiency in QGIS.
- Knowledge of LIDAR and Remote Sensing data.
- Familiarity with budgeting tools (Presto).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Experience in team management.
- Minimum English level B2.
- Willingness to travel and work in the field.
- Proactive, autonomous, and initiative-driven.
- Passion and enthusiasm for the project.
Preferred experience
- Knowledge of Python, Post-GIS, and BBDD.
- Experience using GIS tools in the field, such as QField and Collector.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Additional training or experience in national or international carbon markets (OECC, Voluntary Carbon Standard, Gold Standard, etc.).
- Understanding of forest biomass.
