Currently, they are seeking a Head of Trading Operations – you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the 24/7 gas and power trading support services across Europe.
This strategic position focuses on leading geographically distributed teams, optimizing trading operations, and aligning them with the company’s growth objectives. You will ensure seamless service delivery, compliance with industry standards, and lead the integration of trading teams in Paris and Aalst.

What you will do
Operational Leadership
- Manage daily operations for gas and power trading teams across Paris and Aalst, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Develop and implement tools, processes, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Monitor market regulations and participate in industry working groups to anticipate changes.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
Team Management & Development
- Lead the integration of trading teams across locations, creating a unified culture and approach.
- Recruit, train, and develop team members, fostering a high-performance and collaborative environment.
- Oversee HR and administrative functions, including planning and resource allocation.
- Mentor team members to support skill development and long-term retention.
Strategic Growth & Client Engagement
- Collaborate with the commercial team to align service offerings with client needs.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring satisfaction and trust in service delivery.
- Drive global expansion efforts, including new market development in Europe and Australia.
- Represent our client’s operational excellence in external meetings, conferences, and client presentations.
What they are looking for
- Proven expertise in gas and power trading operations with a deep understanding of trading mechanisms and workflows.
- Experience managing international teams, including recruitment, training, and HR management.
- Familiarity with compliance in a multinational context.
- A degree in Energy Management, Business, or Engineering; a master’s degree is a plus.
- Fluency in English (French proficiency is highly desirable).
- Demonstrated success in leading operational teams and contributing to global expansion efforts.
