Hydrogen Engineering Lead
Company Summary
The Iron and steel industry is a fundamental cornerstone of the European Economy. It provides globally around 300 000 directs and 1.6 million indirect jobs and an estimated cumulated added value of eighty-two billion Euros annually in Europe. Nevertheless, the iron and steel industry rely on the utilization of fossil fuel and results in approximately 190 million tons of CO2 emitted annually; 5% of EU overall CO2 emissions.
It is a newly created French company with global ambition to decarbonize the steel industry by producing at scale green and low carbon Direct Reduced Iron out of renewable and low-carbon hydrogen. It aims to build, own and operate a first green iron plant in the south of France to be replicated in Europe and beyond.
