The Energy Sales & Markets team at our client’s company is dynamic, innovative, and forward-thinking. They are redefining how renewable energy is marketed – with a focus on Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and direct supply to industrial customers. The team acts as the internal center of expertise for energy market strategy and development, also exploring opportunities in battery storage and hydrogen.

Key Responsibilities

The International Originator will:

  • Identify and develop international marketing opportunities for renewable energy projects (wind, solar, hybrid, hydrogen)
  • Collaborate closely with the Energy Origination team and local project development teams to successfully bring projects to market
  • Analyze energy markets and monitor regulatory developments to inform strategic decisions
  • Conduct competitor and market analyses and develop tailored sales strategies
  • Lead negotiations of bilateral PPAs, particularly with corporate offtakers, including pricing structures, risk allocation, and contract terms
  • Act as the internal point of contact for regulatory and market intelligence within the designated region
  • Support the creation and implementation of innovative marketing models, such as dynamic PPAs and storage-based solutions

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in economics, energy, engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience in one or more of the company’s key markets (e.g., Poland, Hungary, Finland, Canada, UK, or Ireland), ideally within energy sales, trading, or consulting
  • Demonstrated expertise in negotiating corporate PPAs, including structuring and executing end-to-end deals
  • A strong understanding of market dynamics and regulatory frameworks in at least one relevant country
  • Excellent analytical skills and a structured, solution-oriented approach
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities in international and multicultural contexts
  • Proficiency in French (minimum B2 level) and English (minimum C1 level); other languages are a plus
  • Willingness to travel internationally on occasion
