About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Inverter Expert for our client to drive the research and development of next-generation Solar PV architecture and converter structures. This role involves leading technology roadmap development, working on advanced power electronics designs, and collaborating with global R&D teams and institutions. You will be at the forefront of innovation in solar energy, focusing on optimizers, inverters (single-phase & three-phase), and energy storage systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Define system requirements and technical competencies for future solar PV products and solutions.
- Develop technology roadmaps for next-gen Solar PV architectures and converter topologies for medium and small power systems.
- Lead research and design of novel inverter topologies, modulation techniques, and control algorithms.
- Collaborate with external R&D institutes and universities on high-power converter innovations.
- Oversee concept design, verification, and validation in laboratory environments.
- Generate and protect intellectual property through patent filings.
- Represent the company at global power electronics conferences and exhibitions.
- Occasionally travel for internal collaborations.
- Mentor and coach junior team members.
Requirements
- 8+ years of R&D experience in Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related fields (Solar PV industry experience preferred).
- Strong expertise in inverter topologies, multi-level converters, and power semiconductor devices (including wide-bandgap devices).
- Proficiency in magnetic component design, power converter control, and simulation tools.
- Ability to contribute innovative solutions to maintain competitive technical performance.
- Highly motivated, independent, and problem-solving mindset.
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to lead R&D initiatives.
- Professional English proficiency (international/multicultural work experience preferred).
