Our client is responsible for Digital Power Advanced Technology Research, Architecture Evolution Design, and Strategic Technology Planning. We are now looking for a small and medium power conversion expert with strong knowledge of Power Electronics Technology, simulation and design, and Digital control. In this position, you will be responsible for leading and executing the technology roadmap development for next-generation telecom power, EV charger product architecture, and converter structures, including different product forms such as natural cooling and fan-cooling telecom power supplies, PV and battery telecom power supply systems, xx kW EV Charger systems, and energy storage systems.

Requirements

  • More than 6 years of R&D experience in Power Electronics/Electrical and Electronic Engineering (or a similar field); rich experience in the telecom power or EV charger industry is preferred. A PhD degree is a plus.
  • Deep insights into technology and industry trends, with the ability to contribute competitive ideas to achieve top technical performance.
  • Highly motivated and interested in innovative solutions and technologies, along with a willingness to lead technical R&D activities.
  • Deep knowledge of telecom power and EV charger topologies, modulation and control algorithms, magnetic design, and simulation tools.
  • Strong theoretical understanding of power electronic converter principles (e.g., AC/DC, DC/DC, DC/AC converters, resonant and non-resonant types), magnetic component design, and power semiconductor devices (e.g., wide-bandgap devices like GaN and SiC).
  • High-level self-reliance, an autonomous and target-oriented work style, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional-level proficiency in English; prior international and multicultural work experience is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with internal stakeholders to identify and define power supply system requirements, establishing key technical competencies for future products and solutions.
  • Support technology roadmap development for next-gen telecom power and EV charger product architectures, including natural/fan-cooling power supplies, PV/battery systems, and xx kW EV Charger systems.
  • Lead and execute R&D of novel telecom power and EV charger architectures, focusing on medium and small power products (e.g., 3kW, 6kW, 10kW, 25kW, 60kW).
  • Collaborate with external R&D institutes and universities on joint projects to develop innovative technologies for relevant applications.
  • Lead the design, verification, and validation of converter concepts in R&D laboratories.
  • Generate novel ideas and protect them through IPR filings.
  • Represent our client at international conferences/exhibitions in the power electronics community for external communications and industry insights.
  • Occasionally travel to our client’s China offices for internal collaboration and business alignment.
  • Mentor and coach less experienced team members.
