Process Engineer
The role
As a Process Engineer you will be involved in undertaking process plant optimisation, debottlenecking and process design and commissioning activities on our current projects. Process Engineers are typically involved in all stages of project development from the initial concept phase, through basic design and plant definition to detailed design, construction and plant commissioning and operation. This will include undertaking calculations for heat and material balances, hydraulics, equipment sizing and safety related devices as well as preparing documents and drawings such as Process Flow Diagrams, Equipment Specifications and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs). You will also gain exposure to the Safety and Environmental aspects of process design work.
You will be expected to be the link between production and maintenance during plant improvement projects.

Principal duties and responsibilities
- Optimisation of the current process plant with a large focus on energy saving projects.
- Participation in meetings and assisting the process and engineering team with project related matters
- Be involved in plant projects from design concept to commissioning.
- Process plant problem solving and improvements.
- Process Plant data review.
- Analysis of plant performance data.
- Investigation of optimisation opportunities.
- Be part of Management of Change process.
- Partake in the HAZOP process.
Key qualifications, skills and characteristics
- Have obtained a relevant Engineering Degree, minimal HBO (chemische tegnologie or similar),
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic, keen to get work completed
- Strong interpersonal skills, team oriented with confidence to work independently
- Team player
- Self-starter
- Performs well under pressure
- Strong communications skills.
- Affinity with maintenance (PO-plans)
- Knows DCS systems
- At least 3 years experience
- Solution-oriented
