Company Overview
The company operates an IEC 17025 accredited test laboratory in Berlin, which evaluates the performance, reliability, and durability of solar modules. They also have a second laboratory in Suzhou, China, where modules are tested according to stringent criteria that meet or exceed IEC standards. Since 2019, they have maintained a permanent subsidiary in Spain and joined a larger group specializing in solar technologies in May 2022.
What are you going to do?
- Participate in hand-over meetings with the sales team to ensure that the customer objectives and requirements for the project are fully understood
- Coordination of required resources for the project together with the relevant technical services team leader and conduct kick-off meeting
- Prepare and manage multiple complex work packages that may include laboratory testing, contract tenders and review, factory inspections, power plant inspections, performance analysis and owner’s engineering
- Carry out analysis, inspections, simulations, testing and trainings as required in the work packages
- Lead preparation of final reports together with other project team members
- Ensure that the customer deadlines are met for the contract deliverables and that the internal budget is not exceeded
- Communicate and meet in-person as required with the customer to discuss the project details, deliverables and follow-up sales activities
- Manage the invoicing process with the customer for all required payments together with the administrative department
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Experience managing and leading teams of engineers
- Consulting experience for customers of both financial and technical backgrounds
- Broad knowledge of photovoltaic solar energy
- Knowledge of and experience with the concepts of project management
- Ability to manage complex and diverse technical tasks
- Excellent and professional communication skills
- Ability to multi-task in order to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Willingness to travel and work internationally
- Ability to work according to industry norms and standards to ensure high level of quality
- Minimum three years of experience in executing and managing photovoltaic projects or similar technical projects
- Excellent technical writing skills
- Fluency in German and English both speaking and written; additional languages are beneficial
- Ability to work independently as well as part of team is a must
