The company

The role

As a Project Developer, you will play a vital role within their Project Development Team. Working closely with the team, your primary responsibility will be identification and evaluation of potential commercial projects in the field of renewable energy, particularly in solar energy and battery storage.

You will be supported by their experts in negotiating purchase and lease agreements, as well as in the process of applying for grid connections and building permits.

Responsibilities

Identifying new suitable locations for renewable energy systems (solar/battery storage).
Locating and engaging with relevant stakeholders at suitable locations in your region.
Establishing relationships with property agents and municipal representatives.
Negotiating and finalizing heads of terms with property owners or their representatives.
Collaborating with colleagues from the Technical Office to manage grid connection applications and analyses and overseeing the process.
Developing business concepts for potential and specific projects and communicating them to the management for approval at key milestones.
Guiding, in collaboration with your colleagues, the legal process to secure options and lease agreements.
Overseeing the planning process, from permit acquisition to project completion, in collaboration with your colleagues.
Monitoring and documenting project progress and risks.
Producing informed analyses and reporting to the management.
Managing project budgets and advancing them through the development process.

Requirements

Experience or a strong interest in project development and planning in the field of renewable energy.
You hold a degree, preferably in renewable energy, environmental protection, energy technology, or related fields, or alternatively have relevant technical training.
Traveling within your region.
Your strong communication and negotiation skills enable you to build and maintain successful relationships.
You are familiar with your region and the local market and are not hesitant to engage with municipalities and property owners.
If you already have relevant professional experience in the field of renewable energy, it’s a plus.
Proficiency in MS Office is second nature to you.
Class B driver’s license.
Your English proficiency allows you to communicate effortlessly with internal stakeholders.
