Senior Portfolio Expert / Portfolio Manager

Our client is a renewable power company that provides affordable and reliable clean energy to its customers. They are a growth company focused on both acquiring operating photovoltaic power plants and developing new renewable power projects (focus on solar, wind, and hydro).

They believe that the green energy transition can be achieved by focusing on the acquisition, development construction and best-in-class operation of large-scale renewable power plants. This will ensure that green electricity is offered to their customers at competitive prices.

Having successfully closed investments into 275 MW renewable power plants portfolio, they aim to continue growing their platform in the CEE region. They are looking for a strong candidate to support their team in Sofia as a Junior Portfolio Manager.

Key Responsibilities

▪Monitoring of daily processes related to forecasting, trading and price data collection and processing
▪Monitoring of SCADA real time metering data
▪Assisting in implementation of renewables assets in software applications/ETRMs
▪Preparation and submitting orders to the SEE and CEE PXs’ spot markets (Day-ahead and Intraday) based on forecasted production updates
▪Preparation and submitting trading and production delivery schedules to the SEE and CEE TSOs (TPSs and PPSs)
▪Receiving and reviewing O&M reports (incl. planned/unplanned outages and significant production decrease)
▪Monitoring on the market exposure and sending requests for collaterals amounts increase
▪Monitoring EU level regulations and local legislation changes
▪Preparation and submitting regulatory and market reports to energy regulators and other authorities in SEE and CEE regions
▪Support the trading activities and licensing processes
▪Support the commercial division, responsible for negotiating long-term private power offtake, balancing agreements and other agreements related to power offtake


▪College/university degree in Engineering and/or Economics
▪Knowledge of renewable energy markets
▪1+ year experience in the energy sector in energy trading
▪Fluent verbal and writing English are a must
▪Strong analytical and numerical skills
▪Advanced Excel skills are beneficial
▪A motivated individual looking to develop their commercial and financial skills
▪Detail oriented
▪Enthusiastic about renewable energy
